Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating a TradeKhata account or using the application, you agree to these terms. If you're creating an account on behalf of a business, you're confirming you have the authority to bind that business to these terms.

2. The service

TradeKhata is a job-quotation and ledger tool for small trade contractors covering Painting, Tiles, Plumbing, and Rajmistri (Mason) work. Features, trade availability, and pricing may be updated over time; we'll aim to give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what's included in your plan.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

6. Your data & content

You own the client, job, and business data you enter into TradeKhata. We process it to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for having a lawful basis to store your clients' contact details and for the accuracy of GST/invoice information you generate.

7. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted access โ€” the service may be occasionally unavailable for maintenance, updates, or issues outside our control (including third-party providers like WhatsApp/Gupshup or your hosting/network). Estimator formulas and default rates (e.g. material yield constants) are starting points for your own quoting โ€” you're responsible for verifying figures before quoting a client, particularly for structural work.

8. Suspension & termination

9. Limitation of liability

TradeKhata is provided "as is." To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (e.g. a missed client payment, a quotation error you didn't verify) arising from use of the service. Our total liability in any case is limited to the fees you paid in the preceding 3 months.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above will reflect the latest revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in West Bengal having jurisdiction over any disputes.

This is a standard-form terms document for a small SaaS operating in India โ€” it hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer. Have it checked against your actual business setup and any sector-specific obligations before relying on it.
